World Book Day is a massive date on the school calendar, and it can get pretty stressful for parents who world full time and just don't have time to shop for an outfit. Especially when many parents only find out the day before that their child needs a costume. We frequently have parents rushing in last minute throughout the year, having just found out their child needs an outfit for school, so don't worry - you're not alone!
To help, we're opening until 7pm on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th March (the two days before World Book Day itself) to try and help the working parents out there fit it all in around their working hours. We already know from our 6 months so far of being open, that having our shop open until 6pm is a godsend for many parents, who pop in on their way home to pick up outfits for other fancy dress days at their child's school, but even 6pm isn't quite late enough so some schedules.
We'll also be opening on Monday too (we're usually shut on Mondays), from midday until 5pm.
If this proves popular, we'll certainly run late opening for future World Book days, and other events throughout the year.
There are still a few days left to get an outfit, and most schools will be doing something. If you've not been informed by your child's school yet about needing an outfit, we definitely recommend getting in touch with them and finding out if something is required for World Book Day to make sure you have time to get an outfit sorted.... just in case!
